‪QuickTip25 when considering a putter DO NOT judge in terms of toe hang alone. Burnt Edges suggests matching shaft axis to face matching the size of your arc. Match the cog location to the rotational speed required at impact to square the face.‬

QuickTip 24 When I see a player with a big forward press to start the stroke, I always check the head weight of the putter. A forward press is great as long as you do it for the right reasons. Overcoming a heavy putter not one of them.

These are Capto screen shots of a Face to Path relationship for a D 1 player with a full toe hang blade putter. It shows an open to path/arc from start to finish. Scroll down to see the path and how she adjusts. This is a very typical pattern of a player where the rotational value of the putter is greater than the requirement of the arc.

Brad Fellers @SchoolIndiana and I built these 9 putters to match each of the 9 Profiles. Each exactly the same as the other with 2 exceptions. Shaft axis and offset. These parameters have a real influence on a stroke and how it travels along the arc.

 I would suggest in today’s world of heavier heads and different cog locations, a discussion of toe hang is no longer a valid part of a putter fit discussion. ‬

The lie angle of the putter that fits you best can be an indication of what toe hang you should consider.  The flatter the lie more toe hang, more upright less. Lots of other things to consider, but this is a good start.
